We ordered the gumbo and fried okra. Both were absolutely delicious! Food is flavorful. Edit note: I got the fried okra without the standard toppings.

Pulled up to Strut & Dorothy at Armadillo Den and wow… this spot delivers ! We went all out with the gator bites (so crispy and tender), smoked lemon pepper wings, smoked garlic parm wings, and the smoked boudin. Every single bite was packed with that bold, smoky flavor. Will be back for sure!

This place was absolutely amazing. To start, extremely friendly and hospitable staff. Wouldn’t expect anything less from an authentic Cajun place. I ordered the shrimp po boy and they tossed the shrimp in their Nashville hot sauce for me— an amazing idea. It was the perfect amount of both heat and flavor. Truly spectacular sandwich and I can’t wait to have it again. Highly recommended. Thanks again!

Decide to give this hidden gem a try! So glad that I did, the food was DELICIOUS! I was able to order a little bit of everything because I was so indecisive. Everything came out fast and fresh, the gumbo is DELICIOUS. The customer service was great! I’m already thinking about coming back to try the rest of the menu! I will be telling all my friends about this!

Hands down some of the best Cajun food I’ve ever had, out of a food truck of all places. The catfish po boy was excellent, fish was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The bread was great too. The battered fries were crispy and delicious. THE GUMBO. Such a rich and developed flavor. My life is better now that I know this place exists. The cooks in there are putting their heart, soul, and foot in this food. I will definitely be back soon.

This is upper tier Cajun food made with Love! The owner/chef is an amazing guy, he was on MasterChef and made frog legs for Gordon Ramsey. Delicious, nuanced, flavorful food. 8 million thumbs up Also, got this quart of Gumbo to go, my wife and kids ate half of it 5 minutes after my arrival.

Wow. Wasn’t expecting to eat here, but so glad we did. Shrimp Po Boys were great. The bread was fresh and flaky. The veggies fresh. Fries were super crunchy. Had no expectations prior, and was blown away. Super happy they’re close by to me. Will come back 100%.

This place is amazing! Hands down the best gumbo I’ve ever had. The gumbo is my wedding night dinner and I’m so glad I found it :) you can honestly taste every flavor profile in the gumbo base. It has the perfect amount of file. And- the sausage isn’t over cooked nor the chicken!! This level of gumbo you would expect to be $20 outside of NOLA but it’s $7 and well worth the try!!
